** The Hunger Hotline Report
------------------------------------------------------------

The Hunger Hotline, which Hunger Free America operates on behalf of USDA, receives thousands of calls every month. In June, nearly half of the callers were given information about Summer Meal distribution. Other callers were connected to SNAP resources, a local food pantry or food bank, and grocery delivery services.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please call our Hunger Hotline! Our representatives are available Monday-Friday 7AM - 10PM: 866-348-6479 (English) or 877-842-6273 (Spanish).

** SNAP Policy Alert
------------------------------------------------------------

This represents a huge milestone for the SNAP program. Millions of people throughout the country purchase groceries through online shopping, and ensuring that SNAP recipients have that option as well is a major step forward for equity and access.

** Summer Meals
------------------------------------------------------------
Summer can be a difficult time for families struggling to put food on the table. Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost. These meals can be a lifeline to families in need.
