Stark and Summit Counties
This weekend we have 3 opportunities to defend our democracy and oppose the passage of Issue 1 on August 8th.

Issue 1 would would make it much harder for citizens to change the state constitution, raising the bar for passage of citizen-led ballot initiatives from 50% to 60%. This would upend over 100 years of majority rule for constitutional amendments and would allow just 40% of the state's citizens to veto the wishes of the majority.
