John,

You may know that former President Donald Trump is currently under investigation for calling Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and telling him to "find" extra votes for him.

But what you may not know is that it wasn’t the only such call he made.

Before calling Raffensperger, Trump tried to pressure Arizona Governor Doug Ducey to overturn that state’s presidential election results. According to the Washington Post, Trump told Ducey that if enough fraudulent votes could be found it would overcome his narrow loss in Arizona.

John, it’s amazing that we're still learning new ways that Donald Trump abused his power to try to reverse his election loss and keep himself in power.

This is further evidence that Trump violated the law by pressuring an elected official to overturn the results. He must be held accountable.

When Donald Trump’s call pressuring the Secretary of State in Georgia came to light, CREW immediately called for an investigation.

John, this news about a similar pressure campaign in Arizona is further proof of Trump’s abuse of power and violation of federal and state laws.

Trump is currently facing a likely indictment in Georgia for election interference (one of many crimes he’s been investigated for). He should be held accountable for violations of criminal law.

But here’s the deal: even a conviction won't prevent him from serving as president. However, enforcing the 14th Amendment's Disqualification Clause, as CREW intends to, will.

The 14th Amendment says that anyone who swore an oath to the Constitution and then engaged in insurrection is disqualified from office. That's the law of the land, just like the part of the Constitution that says you must be 35 years old to serve as president.

CREW is hard at work to both hold Trump accountable for every single crime he committed, and to also make sure he never serves as president again, as the Constitution demands. Make a matched donation today to help us continue this important work →

Thank you,
