I wanted to take a moment to address last Friday’s Supreme Court decisions.
If you are unaware, last week the Supreme Court chose to strike down President Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Plan and rolled back long standing protections against discrimination for Americans, particularly the LGBTQ+ community.
Friends, like many other people around this country, I am outraged.
We knew that this extremist Supreme Court wouldn't stop at abortion. That they would keep attacking our freedoms and this past week has shown us just that.
The right-wing majority on the Supreme Court has made it clear that they will put their political agenda first.
But our fight is not over. We have to persist to ensure equality and opportunity for all — and it starts with electing leaders that will fight for the people and justice.
Together, we can do just that. We can elect changemaking candidates that are in the fight to protect Americans, not special interests, up and down the ballot across the country. Because every single race and seat will put us one step closer to protecting and restoring our democratic freedoms.
