"Do not underestimate the power of engaged citizens."

That was AG Holder's reaction to the news that Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers created the People's Maps Commission to draw maps in 2021 that should be adopted by the state legislature.

For the past decade, the people of Wisconsin were forced to vote under gerrymandered maps. This nonpartisan commission puts power back in the hands of people and takes us a step closer to fair maps.

We need a network of engaged citizens all across the country fighting for fair maps. Direct a donation to the AOTL Advocacy Fund to help provide local volunteers and activists with the resources to win this fight.

This commission is an example of a better, more fair, path forward and it will put pressure on state legislators to end gerrymandering. If we rally behind this nonpartisan process, elected officials in Wisconsin will no longer be able to ignore the will of the people -- if they attempt to gerrymander in 2021, we WILL hold them accountable.

We need to collectively support fair map advocates like Governor Tony Evers and make sure map manipulators know we're gearing up for the fight ahead.
