The campaign is on! With the election date announced we’ve got just 231 days to go, and as Labour’s Campaign Manager, I’m beginning to finalise our campaign plan to win in September.
I started in my role managing Labour’s 2020 campaign earlier this month and I’ve been blown away by the generosity and commitment of our grassroots donors, volunteers and supporters.
I’ve been involved in campaigns for Labour for a decade now, from city council races to mayoral campaigns and national elections. I’ve seen first hand what a Labour victory looks like -we win when we work our guts out, bring people together and campaign positively for what we believe in.
In this campaign that’s what we are doing - building a grassroots movement of people from all around the country, from all walks of life. We’re going to run a campaign we can be proud of, and we’re going to run a campaign that wins.
I know for many of you this isn’t your first election campaign supporting Labour either and before our campaign strategy is finalised, I want to make sure we’re making the most of your experiences and insights from our previous campaigns, particularly our 2017 election campaign.
With thousands of grassroots supporters, our collective skills and experience are one of our team’s biggest assets.
