John,
Last month, the United States deployed more than 1,200 U.S. soldiers to Peru, with weapons of war and military equipment to carry out joint military exercises.
➡️ Take action to tell Congress: We don't want U.S. troops in Peru.
World BEYOND War and the Center for Research, Drugs and Human Rights are working to deliver a petition to the U.S. Congress, addressed to the Foreign Relations Committee and the House Appropriations Committee, expressing our concern about this escalating militarization and calling on the U.S. to withdraw its troops from Peruvian territory.
Latin America should be a zone of peace, free of military bases and U.S. military presence, therefore we ask that you sign this petition here, and join the thousands of voices in Latin America and the United States that reject this interference and the increase of militarism in this strategic region of the world.
This effort we are making against war, militarism and in solidarity with our friends in Peru is summarized in the following message:
No more militarism!
Let us stop the militaristic expansion of the United States in Latin America and the world.
We reject the entry of U.S. troops into Peru by signing here!
Thank you for taking action for peace,
Gabriel Aguirre
