This is it. This is the last stand for the truth in the Senate.Tomorrow our Senators will prove to us who they are. Do they believe in justice, truth and the Constitution? Or do they believe only in their own selfish political interests.
After almost two weeks of arguments, the need for key witnesses like John Bolton and Mick Mulvaney is indisputable. But Mitch McConnell is holding the line for the President, putting craven political interests ahead of even the hint of truth and objectivity. It’s a travesty, but it isn’t over yet.
John, we need you to email your Senators right now. [[link removed]]
Use our pre-written message - or write your own - demanding witnesses in America’s impeachment trial. It doesn’t matter if you’ve emailed before. Email them again. They have to know that we are watching, and yes, we care about the truth. If they don’t hear from us, they’ll happily fall in line behind Mitch McConnell’s scheme to sweep everything under the rug.
And once you’ve emailed your Senator, do one more thing: forward this email to three friends, and ask them to send their messages too.
The truth will come out one day, likely sooner than Senator McConnell would like. It should come out now, when there’s still a chance for Senators to do something about it.
But we need every single concerned American to make themselves heard. We need a show of force, to break the spell of indifference plaguing GOP leadership and awaken enough Senators to the severity of their duties to ensure that relevant witnesses are called.
So email your Senators today. Call them too. And then tell your friends to do the same. We can make the difference if we stand up together in defense of our Constitution.
