Mike might be going up against a few opponents in the Democratic primary this March, but the truth is that none of them are as qualified for the job of U.S. Senator as Mike is. That’s why he has the endorsement of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).

Here’s what Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, Chair of the DSCC, had to say about Mike:

“Mike Espy has spent his life listening to and serving all Mississippians, and his deep commitment to Mississippi families is evident in his unparalleled record of leadership for his state. In the Senate, Mike will keep fighting for Mississippi, working to support family farms, improve rural health care, and bring good jobs to communities across the state. It’s clear that Mike is the most qualified candidate to take on Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith in November’s general election and serve as Mississippi’s next Senator -- and the DSCC’s endorsement only further proves it.

But with the primary election approaching on March 10th , we can’t take any chances: we need to hit every single fundraising goal we set to ensure this team has what it needs to get out the vote and send Mike traveling across the state to meet with as many Mississippians as possible.
