Folks,

First it was Justice Thomas and the revelation that he not only accepted a ridiculously lavish vacation from right-wing donor Harlan Crow, but that he also sold his properties in Georgia to Crow without disclosing the sale.

Now we’re hearing disturbing reports about Justice Alito. It was revealed that another GOP donor – Leonard Leo – whose lifelong mission is to capture control of our Supreme Court through the conservative Federalist Society, landed the Justice a free fishing vacation in Alaska with billionaire Paul Singer… before his hedge fund brought business before the Court.

Frankly, I’m getting kind of tired of saying this, but here we are: It’s time to pass a basic code of ethics for Supreme Court justices. It’s a good thing I’m on a bill to get it done! Can you chip in $5 so I can continue my work in the Senate to bring ethics reform to SCOTUS?

We’re really not asking for much.

Week after week, the Supreme Court is handing down cases that change the lives of Americans and shape our future. We saw this first-hand last week when they struck down affirmative action in college admissions.

SCOTUS is supposed to look out for the American people. But because there’s no binding code of ethics whatsoever, they’re instead beholden to millionaire donors who take them on fancy vacations. My SCERT Act would implement accountability at the Supreme Court and hold our Justices responsible for their ethical violations.
