John, as we enter the last half of the year, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and remind you of what I stand for.
|
That being said – hi, John, I'm Delia Ramirez and I am proud to represent Illinois' 3rd Congressional District. |
|
|
My parents immigrated here over forty years ago from Guatemala and settled above a church in Humboldt Park, where they worked in exchange for cheaper rent.
Our family volunteered often at the church's homeless shelter, and that's where I discovered my passion for helping the people in my community.
And the rest is history, John. That passion took me all the way to the Illinois House, where I fought for affordable housing, reproductive freedom, and expanded Medicare to seniors regardless of their immigration status.
That same passion brought me to Congress, where I've built a strong reputation as a champion for immigration reform, affordable housing, and our veterans.
But I'm only one person, and if I want to get ahead of the Illinois GOP in 2024 elections, we have to kick off our early fundraising efforts on the right foot. Please, John, will you support our people-first, people-funded movement today? |
Thank you, Congresswoman Delia Ramirez |
