Amazon founder Jeff Bezos spent a reported $500m (almost £403m) on the Koru, the second-largest sailing yacht in the world – but EIA Forests campaigners are increasingly concerned that its decks may have been made with ‘blood’ teak from Myanmar. Our repeated enquiries to all involved in the construction and fitting out of Bezos’s new toy – which has guest accommodation for 18 and a crew of 36, plus its own 247ft support tender with a helipad and mini-submarine – have so far been met with stony silence...
