Lance Izumi Comments On How Colleges Could Get Around The Supreme Court's Affirmative Action Ruling

Some scholars believe that, rather than emphasize essays, colleges will instead strip admissions processes of quantitative requirements that benefit some racial groups over others, leading to an effective admission advantage. “[M]any colleges have started to de-emphasize or eliminate SAT/ACT scores in the name of recruiting more Black and Hispanic students. Asians do very well, overall, on standardized tests … Litigation over this issue could loom in the future,” wrote Lance Izumi, a senior fellow at the Pacific Research Institute, in comments to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
