Fulfillment Fund

July 2023 Newsletter

Learn more about our work.

While summer has officially begun, the momentum that Fulfillment Fund built throughout the school year continues. Our College Success team is continuing enrollment for incoming freshmen to join our College Success Program, which helps students stay on track to begin their first year of college and assists them along their college journey. Providing a support system for students is our priority; we let our students know that we are here for them every step of the way as we champion their successes.

Our College Access team is hosting a series of workshops throughout the summer to prepare rising high school seniors for their upcoming college application season. We are also hosting a separate summer session for 9th and 10th graders to get a jump on college planning. Getting ahead of college preparations is vital. For seniors getting ready to apply, it can be especially overwhelming and confusing to know how to apply, what schools might be best for them, and finally, to understand what documents and forms they must submit. We are proud to be a guiding light during the brightest days of the year.

Ready for College Summer Institute

College Prep Workshop for Seniors

Our College Access team held the first of our four-day summer workshops late last month. The Ready for College Summer Institute prepared incoming seniors for the college application process, including activities designed to help them understand college systems, identify college fit, and learn about financial aid options. Summer Fest was a Success!

We kicked off our second year of Summer Fest at the end of June with our new and returning college students and alumni joining us at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center. Hosted by our College Success team, it was a beautiful day to celebrate our students' accomplishments while enjoying a delicious taco lunch, playing games, and spending time with each other.
