John,
There are just two State Supreme Court elections across the country in 2023, and one of them is already over.
Despite ending in early April, Wisconsin turned into the most expensive state judicial election in U.S. history.
Now, it’s Pennsylvania’s turn to fill an empty seat on our own State Supreme Court.
Just two years ago, a Republican won PA’s 2021 State Supreme Court Election by less than 25,000 votes. Clearly, every vote will count in 2023. Can you chip in $10 right away to help us register and engage Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth for this important election?

This competitive election could impact fundamental rights in the Commonwealth for a decade to come.
Our freedom to vote is at the top of the list among the rights under attack. In a split decision that would have been prevented by just one more pro-democracy Justice, our current six justices disenfranchised thousands of mostly Democratic voters in the 2022 elections.
With local extremists ramping up their attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, especially children, we must also be prepared for their rights to come before the courts. Given the state of the federal judiciary and the U.S. Supreme Court, a progressive State Supreme Court could be the last line of defense.
And while Pennsylvanians’ abortion rights are not under imminent threat, we must not underestimate the importance of electing a State Supreme Court that will stand up for abortion access.
John, we can’t afford to wait on the sidelines until November or even 2024 to mobilize in defense of our rights and freedoms. Will you pitch in $10 right now to support our year-round voter engagement and civic education across the Commonwealth?
