I’m reaching out because we have a big fundraising deadline tomorrow night and I wanted to explain why this one is so important.

This week, we got word that our opponent raised over a half million dollars in the most recent fundraising quarter.

To be honest, we’re not totally shocked by this. TJ has been outraised by Valadao and his special interest buddies before. That was certainly the case in 2018, but we still won by being nimble with our funds and leaning on our grassroots strength.

But that doesn’t mean we should take our foot off the gas. Not for one second. We need to punch back, so we set a goal of generating another 1,500 contributions before the deadline hits:

As TJ’s fundraiser, I can assure that we’ll never (ever) put TJ on the phone with a corporation to raise cash. We don’t do things the Valadao way.

Our strength is in our grassroots numbers. It's how we flipped this seat in 2018, and we can win again if we all come together and dig a little deeper.
