Research shows Girls Inc. equips girls to thrive

From the very beginning, Girls Inc. has had a singular focus: to equip girls and young women to reach their fullest potential and become strong leaders. We know that when girls are healthy, have the resources and opportunities to learn, and have the confidence and skills to speak out -- that’s when girls succeed. According to recent results of a rigorous, comparative study conducted by the American Institutes for Research from 2017-2019, third-party data demonstrates that the Girls Inc. Experience works. Across 24 dimensions, Girls Inc. girls did significantly better than girls who had not had the Girls Inc. Experience.

Girls Inc. girls are more likely to engage in pursuits and express beliefs that lead to physical and mental wellbeing, academic achievement, and strong character and leadership. Keep reading to learn more.

Supporting Girls From the Inside Out

Girls Inc. has formed an exciting partnership with Rae Wellness, a new brand that is focused on helping women feel their best from the inside out. Rae's emphasis on supporting women extends to championing nutrition, wellness and confidence for the next generation by providing 5% of all revenue to Girls Inc.! Together, Girls Inc. and Rae are helping thousands of girls build their physical and mental wellbeing, motivating them to pursue healthy futures and expand their opportunities. Thank you Rae Wellness for being a champion for girls!

We celebrated the launch of Rae with a special event at The Wing, where attendees wrote letters of support and affirmation to Girls Inc. girls.

Standing Alongside Girls & All Youth

Girls Inc. is proud to be one of 13 youth organizations participating in Be a Champion, #InvestInKids, a campaign highlighting the importance of programs that serve our youth and help the next generation thrive.

Through June we will be connecting our supporters with opportunities to champion the girls in their lives and in their communities, and one of the best ways you can start is by making a difference in a girl's life today with a gift that supports the girls and programming of Girls Inc.

The Be a Champion, #InvestInKids campaign is funded through generous support from the S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation.

Participating organizations include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts of America, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Camp Fire, Coaching Corps, National 4H Council, Nature Bridge, Outward Bound, Playworks, Positive Coaching Alliance, Student Conservation Association, the YMCA, and Girls Inc.
