Hi John,

A huff, and a puff, and the house came down. Thames Water is on the verge of collapse after their Chief Executive leaves unexpectedly. Water company finances make the headlines as we see the debt they've piled up, all whilst paying huge bonuses and shareholder dividends. A shambles. This is what happens when water companies are allowed to put profit before people and planet.

🌊 The sea is warming up and it's a threat to marine life - Unheard of marine heatwave off UK and Irish coasts poses serious threat [[link removed]].

🌊 In June, the United Nations adopted the High Seas treaty. [[link removed]] This will be a big contributor to the 30% by 2030 goal for ocean protection.

🌊 Sewage scandal is being taken to the High Court. There are are two cases, one from the Good Law Project: The Good Law Project has been supporting Richard Haward's Oysters, the Marine Conservation Society and Hugo Tagholm [[link removed]] in the challenge.
