Launch of the Ethnicity Motherhood Pay Penalty Report

Monday 31st July
10.30 am - 12.15 pm

Join us in-person for the launch of our newest report, featuring presentations, roundtable discussions and Q&A

Becoming a mother impacts a woman’s income for the rest of her life. For Black and minoritised women, this motherhood pay penalty is compounded by existing ethnicity pay gaps and the intersection of gender-based and racial inequalities at work.

Join us as we present new analysis of Labour Force Survey data spanning almost 30 years, alongside a review of key literature to understand the barriers faced by Black and minoritised mothers at work.

Followed by a roundtable panel discussion and audience Q&A.

Report presented by researcher Julie Rose.

With the following line-up of expert panellists:

  • Dianne Greyson, Founder of #EthnicityPayGap Campaign
  • Melissa Blissett, Senior Consultant in Pay Gap Analytics, Barnett Waddingham
  • Shabna Begum, Director of Research, Runnymede Trust
  • Alesha De Freitas, Head of Policy, Research and Advocacy for Fawcett Society
Monday 31st July 10.30-12.15
