Kevin McCarthy says George Santos 'shouldn't run for re-election'
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy went on tv last week for an interview with Fox & Friends. When asked if he was supporting George Santos’ re-election campaign, McCarthy laughed and said Santos “should not” run for re-election.
In the same breath, McCarthy proudly announced that the GOP would hold onto New York’s 3rd Congressional District with another Republican candidate.
But despite McCarthy’s calls for him not to run for re-election, George Santos has defiantly tweeted that he is still pressing ahead:

Santos’ stubborn refusal to resign means we need to fight harder to defeat him. That’s why we’re supporting Anna Kaplan, a Democratic NY Senator with a track record of flipping seats from red to blue.
Will you pitch in $25 or more – split with 1973 Action Fund – to help Anna Kaplan send George Santos into political retirement?
George Santos is an embarrassment to our district, country, and the entire U.S. Congress. We need to defeat him once and for all.
Thanks for your help,
Team Anna Kaplan for New York
