Hi,

Thank you for being a supporter of EARTHDAY‍.ORG and the movement to diversify, educate, and activate the environmental movement worldwide. We hope the summer is bringing you BBQs, family vacations, outdoor adventures, and all the bounties this time of year has to offer.

But even as we enjoy these sunny-day activities, we also are faced with new climate-change related realities of the season - deadly heatwaves, wildfire smoke from uncharacteristically severe mega-wildfires, polluted waters, and more severe and intense weather events.1

There has never been a more crucial time to create a united, consequential, worldwide movement to demand meaningful social and political action to address the climate crisis. A recent United Nations IPCC report has a dire warning for human well-being and planetary health: “There is a rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a livable and sustainable future for all ... [t]he choices and actions implemented in this decade will have impacts now and for thousands of years.2

At EARTHDAY‍.ORG, every day we are working on solutions and resilience for the climate emergency. Some of the ways we are working include:

- We’re organizing collective action far and wide, reaching all corners of the globe, with our outreach and communications;

- We’re working to make climate education in schools a universal reality to help ready the next generation to develop solutions;

- We’re planting trees to restore areas most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change;

- We’re working to make our food systems sustainable;

- We’re pressing for a world plastics treaty to drastically reduce production of petroleum-based plastic and the products derived from it, develop technological advances in alternatives and recycling, and at the same time work to clean up plastic waste that is polluting our oceans, streams, and public spaces.

Please support this urgent work and together we can keep fighting for a green future for our planet.

You can amplify your support for our planet by setting up a monthly gift to EARTHDAY.ORG here. <[link removed]> Each donation will help to make each and every single day Earth Day.
