Happy 247th Birthday to the United States

I’m thankful to live in the United States of America and celebrating her birthday every July 4th is an honor and a privilege. President Ronald Reagan stated, “Let the Fourth of July always be a reminder that here in this land, for the first time, it was decided that man is born with certain God-given rights; that government is only a convenience created by the people, with no powers of its own except those voluntarily granted to it by the people. We sometimes forget that great truth, and we never should.”

Conservative Victories at the Supreme Court

There were several rulings by the Supreme Court last week that were welcomed by conservatives across the country. In particular, the Supreme Court ruled that the government cannot dictate or diminish our beliefs. America’s greatest strength is our freedom.  

Constituent Services Days

Last week, members of my staff were in Lincoln County and Kemper County for Constituent Services Days.
