John, Each month, we are proud to host at least 19 events all over the state. I say “at least” because each of our 19 locations has a monthly meeting, but many also organize social events, meals, and happy hours together! Our monthly sprint of meetings starts again next week. Organizing and hosting a meeting is so fun! But it is also so. much. work. And it costs so much money! The cost to host 19 satellite meetings all over the state is $5,375 every month. This means 19 meetings for a year costs nearly $65,000! Y’all. That’s a LOT of money. This doesn’t even take into consideration our goal to add even more locations and groups. But we won’t do that if we can’t pay for what we are already doing. We know it’s critical to have monthly meetings in every satellite location. After all, TTP exists to educate citizens so they can become engaged to make a difference in all levels of their government. We can’t do that without regular meetings! That's why we're asking for your help. If every person reading this email gave just $10, our cost of meetings for the year would be covered AND we could add on a few other projects we've had on the back burner!
