Today, Diana Park is writing about a tough situation she recently found herself in: “My daughter got a job this spring and made friends there quickly. But then things took a turn, when one of them started being mean to the other girls and wanted my daughter to join in. That upset her and made her uncomfortable, but she wasn’t sure how to stand her ground. She came to me with the problem and said she wasn’t sure what she should do. And honestly, I didn’t know what to do, either.” She didn’t want her daughter hanging around with this girl — but she wanted to teach her daughter that it’s important to have compassion for everybody. Read it to see how she ultimately walked the line. Kelly Faircloth, Executive Editor |
