John, I wanted to highlight some startling numbers for you.

Only 58 Black women have ever been elected to Congress, and just two of those 58 have been elected to the Senate. As a member of this pro-choice community, you know Democratic pro-choice women often face tough races against well-funded opponents. When these pro-choice women are Black, the fundraising gap, which is a key indicator in campaign outcomes, only widens.

This cycle, EMILYs List is supporting Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE-SEN) and Angela Alsobrooks (MD-SEN), two women who can SAVE open blue seats and bring badly-needed representation to our Senate. We need a government that reflects the American people, and that means electing more women of color everywhere.
