I hope you had a happy and safe Fourth of July!  I was glad to spend it with friends and family and to watch the beautiful fireworks in #TX07.  I also had a chance to think about the principles and promise that we celebrate on our Independence Day—which of course leads me to think about why our work together is so important.

On Independence Day, we celebrate the founding principles and highest aspirations of our country, memorialized in the Declaration of Independence.  Since that time, generations of Americans have worked and fought to make our union of states a more perfect one, and to expand the rights reflected in our Declaration to all, with its principles as their guide.  And that is what everyone on #TeamLizzie is fighting for—today and every day.

Whether it’s voting rights or reproductive rights or LGBTQ+ rights, our efforts to win our race in TX-07 and to help candidates across Texas and our country win their elections is all about making the vision and promise of our country a reality for all Americans.  We know there is still work to do, but we also know how much we can accomplish when we work together.  

I’m so grateful to you for being part of #TeamLizzie and your generous contributions to our work in the past, in 2024, and beyond.
