Kitsap County launches Agents of Discovery mobile gaming app
There?s a new way for families to explore the outdoors in Kitsap County this summer. Kitsap County Public Works ? Stormwater Division is partnering with 27 other local agencies to get families outside, learning and having fun. The Puget Sound Explorer 5.0 campaign uses a free mobile gaming app called Agents of Discovery ? think Pok?mon Go. Special agents use their detective skills to solve different challenges.
In Kitsap County, families can play the game along the Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale.?To play, download the free?Agents of Discovery app?on any mobile device. After downloading the app, search for ?Discover Clear Creek". No data or WiFi is required to play the game once it is downloaded.
Acting as a secret agent, you will start the game at??Silverdale Rotary Gateway Park at 11601 Silverdale Way NW. While walking along the Clear Creek Trail, players must complete different challenges. The challenges educate families about the wildlife that live in the area, as well as how people can help protect our natural resources.
After completing the Kitsap County mission, be sure to explore the other 27 games in the region. The Puget Sound Explorer 5.0 Campaign runs until August 31, 2023. The Campaign includes amazing prizes to reward players, or ?Agents? who participate. At each site, players receive fun rewards like badges and buttons. Agents who complete: three Missions will receive a Puget Sound Explorer lanyard (available at some locations); six Missions will get a Grizzly Bear certificate and be entered to win an Adventure Backpack. After completing nine Missions, players are entered to win admission tickets to the Pacific Science Center, Woodland Park Zoo, Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, or Northwest Trek Wild Park.
