Hi John - we're being taken to court for forcing BP to act on the climate emergency. [1]
I'm writing to let you know that we won't - under any circumstances - stop fighting for the climate until BP stop digging up fossil fuels. It's the only way we can get out of the climate crisis. Can you help show BP and every other fossil fuel company out there that we've not been scared off by their bully tactics? We're as ready as ever to take them on!

BP's rig owners are taking us to court for stopping their oil rig from drilling for new oil last summer. It's outrageous that oil drillers are spending their money and time taking our brave activists to court instead of tackling the climate emergency.
But if ever there was a sign that we've got oil companies like BP on the backfoot, this is it. Now let's keep them there!

Hi there - BP have plans that will make the climate emergency even worse than it already is. BP are planning to spend $71 billion digging up new oil and gas, when they already have more fossil fuels on their books than our planet can afford for them to burn. [1] If they go ahead with this, it'll mean more frequent and even more severe climate disasters like Australia's devastating bushfires. [2] BP must immediately stop digging for new oil and gas and then stop being an oil company altogether!
We've all seen the bushfires in Australia. We remember the hurricanes in the Caribbean and the floods that caused so much damage in Indonesia - and here in the UK too. The climate emergency is making disasters like these more frequent and much more severe. But as bad as it is now, the climate emergency will only get worse if BP carry out their 10 year plan to drill for new fossil fuels. We have to do everything we possibly can to stop them!
Going up against an oil giant like BP is a daunting prospect - they've got billions of pounds and a direct line to governments all over the world. But pressure from people demanding climate action is already putting them on the back-foot. In the past weeks and months, BP have lost major sponsorship deals, come under serious fire from investors, and are being threatened with legal cases for their climate-wrecking practices. Now let's build enough pressure to get BP to do what they need to if we're to tackle the climate emergency - stop drilling for new oil and gas and then stop being an oil company.
