The 2023 Special Committee on the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Waiver meetings will be August 7th and 8th. Please see the announcement below. Martha Good morning, The Special Committee on the I/DD Waiver has been scheduled for August 7th and 8th. You are invited to participate during the public testimony portion of the meeting on August 7th. If your organization is interested in participating, please respond to this email with the name and title of your representative(s). We ask that 40 copies of written testimony be submitted to the KLRD office, and a PDF copy emailed to me, by August 2nd at 5pm. This ensures our staff can upload the testimony to the website prior to the meeting date. Additionally, please inform any other organizations, services providers, waiver recipients, individuals on the waitlist, etc. who might be interested in providing comment on the I/DD waiver rates. Any such individual or organization should contact me at [email protected] and provide the same information requested above. Please ask folks to reach out to me prior to July 19th. The scope of the Special Committee is narrowly focused on I/DD waiver rates. This includes the rate-setting process, inefficiencies in the reimbursement process, rates that still lag, etc. In addition to voicing concerns, we ask that you provide solutions where possible, including examples of successful solutions in Kansas or in other states. I will share an agenda once it is published. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best, Dayton LaMunyon Fiscal Analyst Kansas Legislative Research Department (785) 296-4405
