Free Lunch & Learn Series -The Resilient Leader-Working with Teens
Hope Cottage hosts a free virtual Lunch & Learn Professional Series every year for professionals who work with the teen population. This year’s event will take place three Wednesdays in
a row on July 19th-Aug. 2nd from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The name of the series this year is “The Resilient Leader-Working with Teens." CEUs for social workers, CMEs for teachers, and participation certificates will all be available, and participants can sign up for as many or few as they would like. 6th Annual South Texas Adolescent Health Summit Don't miss the chance to join
professionals from the Rio Grande Valley to receive advanced training and technical support and access a network of experts with the latest information and best practices around adolescent development, positive youth development, adolescent-friendly services, and how to apply the quality components of care through the stages of adolescence. Wednesday, Aug. 23 (virtual only) &/or Thursday, Aug. 24 (in-person) New this year is the Teen and Young Adult Summit that is happening as part of the South Texas Summit.
This will be in-person on Friday, Aug. 25 at the McAllen Convention Center and it's free to attend for youth 17-24 years of age. They will also receive a $50 stipend to attend.

Only 6 clinics will be chosen. Your school-based clinic could be one of them! The Texas Youth-Friendly Initiative (TYFI) is recruiting a 5th cohort of clinics to begin the18-month Adolescent Champion Model (ACM) intervention this fall. Participating clinics receive professional development training
for staff, exclusive access to resources, $10,000 stipends for improvements to the adolescent-friendliness of their clinical environments, and the opportunity to become certified as adolescent-centered environments. Your clinic may be eligible if it meets the following criteria: - Adolescent-serving clinical setting
- Located in this 57-county
area
- Leadership and staff want to better serve adolescents
