Hi there,

The New York Times recently reported that Trump’s team sees Bernie Sanders as their ideal Democratic opponent, and are doing whatever they can to bolster his chances of winning this primary.

And now Politico reports:

"Trump advisers were salivating at the thought of a self-described democratic socialist as their general election opponent. As the president listened, they argued for taking steps to elevate him in the primary to boost his prospects."

We were already up against a lot: Competitors who have been building their organizations for years, dark money groups joining up to boost Bernie, billionaires pouring their own money into their campaigns -- and now Donald Trump himself.

We have you, and we’re going to need to really step up if we expect to compete and clear these obstacles. Can you chip in right now to help us reach our $1 million goal before tomorrow night? [[link removed]]

Trump and his allies are ready to do anything to hold onto power in November.

We cannot play into their hands. We can’t risk nominating a candidate who cannot beat Donald Trump in November. Trump's team knows this. They’re working to make sure they get their pick of opponents. We’ve got to out-work them.

Thanks,

Hari
