The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine escalated further as Moscow accused the United States and NATO of aiding Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory. This came after Russia reported downing five drones near the capital on Tuesday, while Ukraine stated that 43 people, including 12 children, were injured in a Russian strike on the town of Pervomaisky in the eastern Kharkiv region.

The Biden administration’s proposal to lock up federal land and restrict traditional uses, such as energy development, is encountering strong opposition from various stakeholders. In March, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) introduced federal regulations that would allow environmental organizations opposed to fossil fuel drilling and mining projects to lease land for conservation purposes, effectively impeding resource development.
