NAFCU makes recommendations ahead of NCUA’s annual reg review

NAFCU Senior Regulatory Affairs Counsel James Akin wrote to the NCUA Friday as the agency prepares for its annual review of one-third of its regulations. The agency will review Parts 711-747 of its regulations.

This week: Congress out, NAFCU continues to keep CU priorities top of mind

Congress remains in recess this week and NAFCU continues to advocate on behalf of credit unions on top priorities, including interchange, the National Defense Authorization Act, credit union tax exemption, regulatory relief, and more.

NAFCU responds to Nacha RFI

NAFCU Senior Regulatory Affairs Counsel James Akin wrote to the National Automated Clearinghouse Association (Nacha) in response to its request for information (RFI) on automated clearinghouse (ACH) risk management and Nacha operating rules. In the letter, Akin offered NAFCU’s perspective on a variety of topics the RFI highlighted.
