Friends,
Today we celebrate the founding of the greatest country on Earth.
From its humble beginnings to winning two World Wars to putting a man on the moon to the present day, the American experiment has been a story of achievement, of justice, and of freedom.
President Ronald Reagan put it best when he said “America is too great for small dreams.”
This country allowed me, as the son of a bus driver and factory worker, to become the first in my family to graduate college, start a successful career in business, and serve Florida in Congress.
Today, and every day, I’m both proud and grateful to be an American. I lived my American Dream, and I’ll fight every day in Congress to keep that dream alive for future generations.
Our country’s best days are ahead of us if we fight for it with the bravery and the passion our Founding Fathers did 247 years ago today.
Happy Independence Day to you and your family, Friends. I’ll never stop fighting for our country and our American Dream.
Sincerely,
Vern Buchanan
