When Thomas Jefferson put pen to paper 247 years ago today and wrote the
now-immortal words of the Declaration of Independence, an experiment began
unlike any other the world had seen.



A nation was created on the principle of freedom–that all are created equal,
endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.



Between then and now, our nation has sent a man to the moon, won two World
Wars, annihilated evil across the globe, and become the top producer of
opportunity in the world.



We’ve come a long way since 1776, but one thing remains the same: the United
States is still the greatest country on Earth.



I know that our nation’s best days are still ahead of us, and I’m fighting
every day to ensure that the experiment started in 1776 continues to be a
success.



Happy Independence Day, Friend. I’m so grateful for your help in fighting for
the future of our beloved country.
