Happy July 4th!
Today, we celebrate America’s independence and reflect on the work our nation has accomplished and the work that lies ahead.
I will always fight to uphold the ideals of freedom for all of us, and now more than ever, it’s important we renew our commitment to our democracy. We must continue fighting for our values and uphold our promise to create a nation that promises freedom for us all – freedom to vote without hindrance, freedom to make our own health care choices, and freedom to express ourselves and our identities however we want.
I hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, and as you celebrate with your friends and family today, please keep our hardworking firefighters in mind. Do your part to limit sparks on the landscape. Firefighters have our backs, so let’s have theirs!
