John,
Greetings from the New York State Republican Party!
As we mark the 247th anniversary of our nation's independence, let us take a moment to honor the audacious vision of our Founding Fathers.
On this day in 1776, they committed to an idea of a self-governing nation rooted in liberty, courage, and a spirit that never quits. They envisioned a country where people could realize their potential and where dreams are turned into reality.
Today, as fireworks light up our New York skies from the tranquil Finger Lakes to the breathtaking beauty of the Adirondacks, from the scenic beaches of Long Island to the vibrant heart of New York City, let us remember these ideals. Every burst of light is a vivid reminder of the sacrifices made to protect our freedom and the opportunities provided.
This spirit of independence is the bedrock of our great state.
Our former Governor George Pataki once stated, "New York is the epitome of what the American Dream promised." As we celebrate today, let us continue to uphold this promise. Let us strive towards making New York a beacon of opportunity and freedom, where the American Dream thrives.
Enjoy the festivities, whether you're watching the awe-inspiring fireworks display over the East River or attending a family BBQ along the stunning shores of Lake Erie. But amidst the joy and celebration, let us not forget our responsibility to preserve and defend our cherished liberties.
Happy Fourth of July!
Stay safe and enjoy the blessings of freedom, New York style!
Sincerely,
The NYGOP
