Fellow American,

As we stand on the precipice of Independence Day, we are filled with a profound sense of celebration and reverence. This significant occasion grants us a moment to pause and ponder our thoughts back to the roots of our nation, allowing us to deeply appreciate the threads of patriotism and unity that have woven our history together.

It prompts us to reflect quietly on the great liberties and immense privileges we are blessed to enjoy as citizens of this great nation.

President Ronald Reagan said:

“We’re blessed with the opportunity to stand for something—for liberty and freedom and fairness. And these are things worth fighting for, worth devoting our lives to.”

In honor of America's birthday, we will forgo our regular edition of Locke Notes and resume next week. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday with friends and family!
