It’s become a bit of a tradition for me to email you on the Fourth of July, and this year, my message is more important than ever. In June alone, we learned:

• A federal indictment of Donald Trump related to classified documents at Mar-a-Lago included new evidence that Trump’s alleged crimes were far more dangerous than we knew;
• Gov. Ron DeSantis seemingly broke campaign finance rules when he transferred millions of dollars from a state committee — formerly known as "Friends of Ron DeSantis" — to the federal pro-DeSantis super PAC Never Back Down;
• And Justice Samuel Alito took a private jet flight to a luxury fishing vacation paid for by a GOP billionaire who later had cases before the court;
• Just to name a few.

John, our democracy is facing a crisis. We’re fighting to hold a former president, Supreme Court justices, and more accountable. These are big fights that CREW is taking on, and we can’t do it without your support.

We’re making headlines for the successes we’ve achieved — and also for the bold actions we’re taking.

From demanding Clarence Thomas resign and calling for an investigation into George Santos, to filing campaign finance complaints against Herschel Walker and pushing to disqualify Donald Trump from holding office again under the 14th Amendment – we refuse to back down from these fights. And we know you won’t back down either, John.
