From my family to yours, Happy Independence Day!

I hope that, like me, you’ll spend today enjoying warm weather, cookouts, and fireworks with those closest to you. Just don’t forget to wear sunscreen, be safe around the grill, and stay hydrated!

And somewhere in all of the wonderful chaos of the day, I hope you also take a moment to reflect on how our nation has changed over the past year. We’ve managed to protect our democracy from some of our biggest threats, but the challenges are far from over.

Even in these moments of uncertainty, I still believe there’s a beautiful and bright future ahead of us. With compassion and cooperation, we’ll get there together.
