Happy Fourth! I hope you have a safe and happy holiday. If you’re looking
for a way to cool off or for an easy dessert to bring to a Fourth of July
party, this is one of my family’s favorite summer recipes:

Ice-cream and fun aside, today is also a day to acknowledge the work our
country needs to do to ensure every family has the opportunity to thrive.
And *for the second year in a row* we’re celebrating the 4th mere days
after the Supreme Court has gone against popular opinion and sided with
extremist Republicans.

Thanks for being in this fight for a better future for California and our
country.
