As Americans all over the world celebrate the founding of our great nation, I’d like to wish you and your families a very Happy Independence Day!
The Fourth of July is a time to commemorate our hard-fought freedoms, the spirit of independence, and the remarkable promise of our nation. It’s a reminder of the sacrifices of those who came before us to build this great country, and the courageous servicemembers who put their lives on the line to defend the values we cherish.
The United States was founded on the belief that a nation should entrust power not in the hands of kings and queens, but rather in the hands of the people.
Make no mistake, we’ve experienced more than our share of obstacles and challenges, including the decisions handed down by the Supreme Court last week. But despite that, I believe our country continues to prove that the principle of democratic governance can stand the test of time.
So, friends, I hope you enjoy this special day filled with joy, reflection, and a renewed sense of hope for our great nation. From my family to yours, happy Independence Day!
