While campaigning, he repeatedly warned that if Clinton were elected the United States would soon have a "sitting president under felony indictment and ultimately a criminal trial," creating an "unprecedented constitutional crisis that would cripple the operations of our government." We aren't usually ones to hand it to Donnie, but he makes a fine point here. It would be unprecedented and crippling. Someone should probably have a conversation with him about all this.

In their unhinged crusade to defend Donald Trump by vilifying the FBI as some kind of left-wing, deep-state apparatus — a laughable suggestion given the fact that the bureau has always been a bastion of reactionary power — congressional Republicans are now taking aim at a program that allows spy agencies to conduct warrantless surveillance on foreign targets, sapping support for a premier intelligence tool and amplifying demands for stricter limits. Regardless of the wisdom of keeping the program intact — and there is certainly a compelling argument to be made for abolishing it — this saga proves that the GOP insistences that they are the party of national security are utter rubbish. They are merely a criminal racket masquerading as a political party closing ranks to defend their beleaguered boss.

People without children "have little stake in the future," the right-wing, billionaire tech bozo opined. Lest you think this was a casual, late-night tweet, in recent years Musk has also blamed people who don’t have kids for the supposed collapse of society, attacked birth control and abortion rights, fired Tesla workers who take parental leave, railed against programs for federally subsidized child care, laid off employees mid-IVF cycle, and all but eliminated the company’s once-generous IVF coverage. For the record, Musk has *ten* children — five via IVF — so it's pretty clear that he just doesn't want other people to have kids. Or the right to vote, apparently.

Fair is fair. If affirmative action is no longer legal thanks to the MAGA-stacked Supreme Court, then the children of rich, legacy elites should clearly lose their gold-plated springboards to mommy and daddy's alma maters.
