Friend,

I’m retired Army Staff Sergeant Shilo Harris. While serving in Iraq, I
suffered third-degree burns on 35% of my body and was admitted to a military
burn unit with a 2% chance of survival.

So, I have a pretty good idea of what my fellow wounded troops and their
families are going through right now. That’s why I am so grateful for
organizations like the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes (CSAH).

The Coalition’s goal is to provide money for groceries, gas, and other
emergency aid to our nation’s severely disabled veterans. These wounded
warriors desperately call the Coalition for help to avoid hunger, homelessness,
or other financial disaster.

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, I hope you’ll make a donation
to the Coalition’s 2023 Fourth of July Emergency Aid Drive to support our
nation’s disabled veterans.

Right now, we are being inundated with calls from my fellow wounded warriors
asking for help to avoid their house being foreclosed, their utilities being
disconnected, their car being repossessed, or their families going hungry.

The calls increase during the hot summer months, and they’re increasing by the
day. You may be wondering why.

After being severely injured in the global War on Terror, discharged from
service, and sent home, our wounded heroes have to wait on average six
months—and sometimes over a year—to receive their first disability benefit
check, due to the government’s sluggish, bureaucratic processes.

Can you imagine losing a limb to a roadside bomb while fighting radical
Islamic terrorists overseas… only to come home and wait 6 or more months for
your first disability check, wondering how you’re going to feed your family?!

Rush a donation to the 2023 Fourth of July Emergency Aid Drive today.

Due to the skyrocketing cost of food, gas, utilities, and housing, the needs
and desperate pleas from wounded warriors is only getting worse.

This leaves our wounded heroes in a terrifying predicament. They have to make
hard decisions: cut back on groceries… skip paying their utility bills… miss
paying their rent or mortgage… or cancel doctor appointments because they
cannot afford the gas to get there.

As a faithful supporter, Friend, you can agree America’s post 9/11
combat-wounded veterans deserve much more than to return home severely disabled
from the War on Terror only to battle against financial disaster. While trying
to navigate their “new normal” and readjust to civilian life, our heroes should
not have to stress about how to pay their bills and feed their families.

As you celebrate our country’s Independence Day, please remember America’s
veterans who were burned, blinded, or brain-damaged on the battlefield while
defending freedom.

These heroes survived war, but are now struggling just to afford groceries,
gas, and basic utilities… while also trying to recover from the life-changing
physical and emotional pain they endure every day.

Many of these wounded warriors believe America has forgotten them. Your
support today will not only help them financially, but it will also help them
heal.

Due to inflation, rising costs, and an overabundance of calls for assistance,
for the first time in our 19-year history, we don’t have the funds to help
every qualified wounded warrior.

Many wounded warriors have already lost their limbs, their sight, their
hearing, and more while protecting us from radical Islamic terrorists. Don’t
let them lose hope when they return home.

Nearly every one of my fellow veterans wounded in the global War on Terror
says they’d gladly do it again in a heartbeat. And the patriotic Fourth of July
holiday is the perfect time to do something for them in return.

Support our disabled veterans with a donation to the Coalition’s 2023 Fourth
of July Emergency Aid Drive.

The Coalition provides direct support to those who truly need it, so you can
be assured that every dollar you give will go directly toward a specific need a
wounded veteran has. If a wounded veteran is facing an eviction or utility
cutoff, we pay the landlord or utility company directly.

Friend, patriotic Americans like you are what gets us through. Your
generosity and care for our disabled veterans is what makes our nation so
unique, and I know you are always looking for ways you can do more to help our
wounded warriors.

While there’s not much you can do to alleviate the physical or emotional pain
we’re going through, there is something you can do to alleviate the financial
pain.

I hope you’ll continue supporting our nation’s disabled veterans by sending a
generous, tax-deductible gift of $25, $35, $50 or more today to the Coalition’s
2023 Fourth of July Emergency Aid Drive.

My fellow airmen, Marines, sailors, or soldiers sacrificed so much for
freedom, security, and peace in the War on Terror. All I ask is that you
sacrifice a cup of coffee or a trip to Target to help our brothers and sisters
in need of the basics right now.

Just think, you could be helping severely disabled veterans near you put food
in their refrigerator . . . buy diapers and formula for their baby . . . or
avert a humiliating eviction or utility cut off.

With sky-high inflation and economic uncertainty, I know times are tough for
us all, so I appreciate anything you can give. No gift is too large or too
small to make a direct and profound difference in the lives of our nation’s
greatest heroes.

Make a difference in the lives of our greatest heroes by contributing to the
Coalition’s 2023 Fourth of July Emergency Aid Drive today. [link]

Thank you, and God bless America.
