that have made our country a beacon of democracy—progress, equity and
justice. Last week, the Supreme Court delivered two significant victories
for democracy in the cases of Moore v. Harper and Allen v. Milligan. These
rulings serve as crucial safeguards against attempts to weaken the voting
power of communities of color. Unfortunately, state legislatures across
the country have enacted legislation that further restricts voting rights,
and silences our political voice. It’s why now more than ever, we must act
to protect our democracy.
