"Happy Independence Day, Georgia 12!
"Today is about patriotism. A day in which we commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
"On this great American holiday, I am reminded of the importance and the forethought of our Founding Fathers to enshrine freedom and the American spirit into such an important document.
"Today we set aside our differences and come together as 'one nation, under God.'
"July 4th symbolizes the heart of our shared American values and the principles upon which our nation was built.
"It represents the liberties we hold dear, and the sacrifices made by countless heroes throughout history who have defended the freedoms that make the United States the greatest nation in the world.
"As we gather with family and loved ones today, I hope you will take a moment to celebrate the strength of our unity and those who made it possible.
"We are each blessed beyond measure to still call the freest nation on earth home—the United States of America.
"Thank you and may God Bless you."
