America needs Tammy Baldwin , who was the first out LGBTQ+ U.S. Senator ever elected.

America needs Robert Garcia , the first out LGBTQ+ immigrant elected to the U.S. Congress.

America needs Davante Lewis , the first out LGBTQ+ person ever elected to state office in Louisiana history and the first Black out LGBTQ+ person elected to office in state history.

America needs Zooey Zephyr , the first out trans person ever elected to the Montana state legislature, and SJ Howell, the first non-binary person elected to the Montana state legislature.

Throughout history, social progress has been forged through uncommon courage in the face of enormous challenges. The American Revolution, the abolition of slavery, universal suffrage, the 8-hour work day, reproductive choice and marriage equality were all driven by those who refused to be confined by the status quo.
