John,
Everyone expects it to be hot in the summer, but not this hot. Scientists tracking alerts sent by the National Weather Service have found that more than half of Americans have lived under an extreme weather alert since May, especially extreme heat alerts.
As summer continues, we can expect to see these alerts and an increase in dangerous storms across the country. Extreme heat affects nearly every aspect of our lives, from what time of day you can walk your dog to how much electricity each of us can use before we overload the power grid trying to cool our homes.

That’s why SEEC members are fighting in Congress to pass climate-friendly legislation in order to try and prevent this outcome. Cutting emissions and reducing our carbon footprint is more important than ever to both save the planet and the lives of those that are put in danger from extreme weather. Can you chip in $15 today to fuel their fight? [[link removed]]
