John,
Happy Independence Day, and welcome to
our Weekend Update.
As we celebrate July 4th, I
believe it is important to reflect on the true meaning and
significance of the holiday.
President Ronald Reagan, perhaps
America’s best orator, once said, “May all of you as Americans
never forget your heroic origins, never fail to seek Divine guidance,
and never lose your natural God-given optimism.”
Our Founders launched a revolution in the
pursuit of justice, equality, liberty, and prosperity. No nation has
done more to advance the human condition than the United States of
America. No nation has done more to promote human progress than the
American citizens.
As we look to the future of our great
nation, we must look at the direction our nation is heading. The past
two and a half years under the Biden Administration have damaged our
nation’s national security, economic strength, and public safety. I
joined “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business in the studio to
discuss “Bidenomics,” which is rooted in excessive spending and
record-high inflation. Click
here or below to watch me discuss Biden’s failed economic policy
and the scandals plaguing his White House and family.
I also joined America Agenda on
Newsmax to discuss “Bidenomics” have failed the American
people and how the DOJ interfered in the investigation into Hunter
Biden. Click
here or below to watch.
Finally, I again joined “Wake Up America”
on Newsmax to further discuss "Bidenomics" which have created
the highest levels of inflation in 50 years. Click

America needs a course correction. That
is why I am supporting Donald J. Trump for President. I have gotten to
know President Trump personally. I firmly believe in my heart and head
that his sole focus is only on making America strong.
Just recently, I was with President
Trump. Upon entering his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, he
exclaimed with delight that the longshoremen were having dinner at the
club following their golf event. He had me follow him into a room
filled with over 200 longshoremen, and the room immediately went wild.
Everyone was on their feet, and various chants like “USA, USA” and
“Four More Years” broke out.
Many in the room were very likely
Democrats. While they were very much so cheering for the man, Donald
Trump, they were also cheering for their country to get on the right
course. This is why I and many of my congressional colleagues have
endorsed and are supporting Donald J. Trump for President. I recently
penned an op-ed that has run in many newspapers, including the Wilkes
Barre Times Leader. Click

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE
MAINSTREAM MEDIA: The Biden administration has been
highlighting the ‘success’ of “Bidenomics,” where the American public
pays more but gets less.
Thanks to inflation, supply shortages,
and outrageous energy prices, Americans have lost
over $10,000 due to the increased cost of living under Joe Biden.
That’s $10,000 gone paying for the exact same goods.
But it doesn’t end there. Americans are
paying the price for his taxes and regulations as well. Biden’s scam
legislation increased the tax burden on Americans making as
little as $20,000 a year, and his regulations are costing taxpayers
tens of thousands of dollars.
No one wants to pay more and get less,
but thanks to Biden, we are. Bottom line: Bidenomics
is failing.
AROUND THE
DISTRICT:
I began the week visiting the Lebanon
County Career & Technology Center to see the many programs they
offer that are preparing students with the necessary skills to
successfully enter the workforce. Thank you to Director Andra Growler,
Principal Alex DiMarzio, and Co-Op Coordinator Kelly Flowers for the
tour! Joining me on the tour were PA State Rep. John Schlegel and
Commissioners Bob Phillips and Mike Kuhn.
I visited Sunbury to offer my support for
more definitive plans for the former Knight-Celotex property and to
visit the site of the Susquehanna Avenue Roadway Construction Project.
Thank you to all the local officials who joined us on the tour. Click
here to read more about my visit.
I joined Newsradio 1070 WKOK’s “On the
Mark” to discuss my visit to Sunbury, the Susquehanna Ave project, and
the scandals surrounding Hunter Biden. Click
here to listen.
I hosted a breakfast at Binghams
Restaurant in Susquehanna County, where we brought together many
community leaders to discuss issues facing the region, as well as all
the great things happening there. During the breakfast, we also
presented George Stark and William desRosiers from Coterra with a
Congressional Community Service Award for their outstanding work in
Susquehanna County.
After our breakfast meeting, I headed to
GasSearch Drilling Services to see their facility and hear about the
great work they do. They are an important part of the natural gas
industry in Susquehanna County.
This week, I met with Special Olympics
athlete Izaak Hobday from Athens, PA, who recently won a gold and
silver medal at the World Special Olympics in Germany. I was honored
to present him with a Congressional Award for his incredible athletic
achievements.
This week, I traveled to Sayre borough in
Bradford County, where we took a walk through the downtown and saw
firsthand the revitalization efforts taking place. We stopped in many
businesses, including Yanuzzi's Restaurant, Brady Rose Boutique,
Vanilla Bean Cafe PA, and Zen Den by Rural Yoga Tribe.
Also on the tour was our tour guide,
Kelly McElhaney, who owns the Zen Den Yoga Studio, County
Commissioners Doug McLinko and Daryll Miller, Borough Manager Dave
Jarrett, and many others. Click
hereto read more about the tour.
We look forward to catching up with you
next week. God Bless, and see you soon,
Dan
