As the COGOP Secretary, duty requires I respond to misleading comments from those angered that the COGOP Chairman and the majority of the State Executive Committee passed a resolution to censure four elected/appointed representatives of the Republican Party for their serious lapse in judgement.
We must shine light on those within our party who are not working in our best interests. In this instance, those four representatives signed their names to a letter filled with deceit and falsehoods, authored by a radical transgender Colorado state representative who regularly promotes radical LGBTQetc agendas, but pretended here to be defending free speech. When those soft Republicans foolishly signed on to Brianna Titone's letter, they empowered and validated the leftist position of sexualizing children. The 'care' Titone speaks of includes puberty blocking drugs that can sterilize the children these radicals have targeted and confused - and in some cases, driven to suicide.

Those four 'Republicans' fell for it, and gave a disgusting, child-endangering political agenda 'bipartisan' legitimacy. They SHOULD be called out for their lack of judgement. What's more, Republican voters and those who left the Republican Party due to its lack of courage and principles should know from here forward the party will always call out bad judgement and dereliction of duty.
Here’s what Chairman Dave Williams said about the resolution that passed on June 19, 2023 (attached below):
"This past Monday, the Colorado Republican State Executive Committee overwhelmingly voted to pass a resolution that admonished, rebuked, and reprimanded Republican State Rep. Ron Weinberg, State Rep. Rick Taggart, Castle Pines Councilman Roger Hudson, and Douglas County Commissioner Abe Laydon for signing a letter authored by radical Democrats who want to push the mutilation and chemical castration of children.
The Democrat letter these misguided Republicans affixed their names to falsely attacked Montana House Republicans for regaining order in their chamber after a transgender representative from their state incited violence and disrupted their legislative proceedings in an attempt to stop a bill that would rightfully prohibit so-called gender affirming care for children."
Grassroots Patriot Republicans have had enough of Establishment Republicans signing on with Democrats and compromising our conservative values. But, as usual, they spin their narrative to say the Grassroots Patriots are in the wrong. Then they attempt to gaslight the conservatives, saying if we just 'reach across the aisle', the socialists will like us and govern from the center, not from their Marxists roots. Unfortunately, Establishment Republicans forget Vladimir Lenin's comments about 'useful idiots', and they become one every time they sign on to a radical bill or a letter such as this.
Their lack of judgement and principles have made voters leave the party by the thousands, and we have lost seats in the last several elections while under soft Establishment and consultant-class control. Yet all through their disastrous tenure and mismanagement, the soft Establishment gaslit us, and now they tell the world that conservatives with principles are costing us elections.
They don't get it: Our Republican Platform and Principles have been ignored for too long. THAT is what is costing us elections.
Platform and Principles will NOT be ignored any longer.
Please spread the word: THIS REPUBLICAN PARTY HAS TAKEN A STAND. We WILL call out weakness and lack of judgement for all to see.
